LA’s BEST Afterschool Enrichment Program plays a vital role in the lives of unique and talented elementary school students who attend nearly 200 LAUSD schools in neighborhoods with the fewest resources yet the greatest needs.
Every school day, each LA’s BEST student receives a nutritious meal, help with their homework and the opportunity to participate in a wide array of enrichment activities.

2020 - 2021 Annual Report
Throughout the pandemic, LA’s BEST staff bravely rose to the challenge to meet the community’s most immediate needs. While school campuses were closed, staff provided in-person supervision for children of essential LAUSD employees and children with the greatest needs. Read the full Annual Report here.

UCLA CRESST Evaluation Results
The recently published UCLA CRESST research report finds that elementary school children who attend LA’s BEST were less likely to drop out and more likely to graduate high school than those students who never participated in the program.
