LA’s BEST is a free expanded learning program available at select elementary schools across Los Angeles for grades TK through 5, with hands-on learning in a safe, supportive environment. Our program offers a wide range of activities, including arts, sports, STEM, literacy, and wellness, all led by caring and qualified (trauma-informed) staff committed to helping students grow and thrive.

Afterschool
Afterschool is where learning comes alive. Students explore new interests, build friendships, and gain skills through academic support, enrichment, and play.
Before School
Our before school programs help students start the day with energy, focus, and confidence. Through engaging activities and a supportive environment, children prepare for a successful school day.
Summer Program
Summer programs keep curiosity and creativity growing all season long. From sports and arts to STEM and leadership, students continue learning in fun, active ways.

Who Can Enroll
All families are welcome to apply for LA’s BEST at anytime. We encourage families to apply early, but applications are accepted year-round. Students in grades TK through 5 can participate.
Every child at a participating school has an equal opportunity to enroll, regardless of academic ability or family income.
