LA’s BEST Joins LA84’s Play Day Block Party
LA’s BEST students and families showed up in full force for the LA84 Foundation’s Play Day Block Party in Historic West Adams, a citywide celebration of youth sports and community play. From pro team mascots to live DJs, the free event was packed with fun, food, and nonstop energy. LA’s BEST is proud to partner with LA84 to make play accessible for all, year-round.
LA’s BEST students and their families joined hundreds of others at the Play Day Block Party, hosted by the LA84 Foundation and Play Equity Fund in Historic West Adams as part of the National Day of Play.
The free event welcomed LA’s BEST families and the broader Los Angeles community for a full day of interactive sports, dancing, live music, food trucks, art, and more. From play stations and pro team mascots to DJ sets and giveaways, the energy was high everywhere.
This celebration reflects LA84 Foundation’s commitment to equity in youth sports and its continued support of grantees like LA’s BEST. Through our longstanding partnership, students across 200+ school sites have year-round access to City Wide Sports programs that build confidence, leadership, and lifelong healthy habits.
