The LA’s BEST Evaluation Department helps measure, understand, and strengthen the impact of our whole child-centered approach.
Through culturally responsive, democratic, and utilization-focused evaluation methods, our team works with internal and external partners to design and implement high-quality evaluation studies that reflect the experiences of students, families, staff, and communities.
What We Do
We capture and share insights on student, family, and community outcomes in expanded learning and beyond. Our work helps LA’s BEST understand what is working, where there are opportunities to grow, and how programs can continue to meet the needs of children and families across Los Angeles.
A Central Data Hub
The department also serves as a central data hub for LA’s BEST. We provide information and analysis that supports program improvement, strategic planning, organizational growth, and long-term sustainability.
