A win-win-win experience.

Being an LA's BEST volunteer is good for our students, our program and for you.

You offer children additional positive role models and connection with another caring adult. Volunteers play a critical role at LA’s BEST. Our kids learn from your life experiences. Whatever you’re good at, kids can learn from you — and you can learn from them, too. Win, win, win.

Your time and expertise can also help us expand our capacity. Volunteers help us organize fundraising events, connect us to new donors and build valuable partnerships. Whatever you’re interested in, we can tailor an opportunity and location to fit you. Please join our community of volunteers!

ZipRecruiter volunteers make new friends and a big difference after school.
“I volunteer with LA’s BEST because my brother and I were educated through LAUSD and I remember mentors coming into our school and assisting us in reaching our potential. I also volunteer to give back to the community in which I was raised. I have enjoyed the partnership between Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity (Men of Achievement) and LA’s BEST. The best part of volunteering with Men of Achievement is to see boys that were initially quiet, participate in the program and toward the end to hear them voice their goals and perspective for their future.”
– Paul Amos, Volunteering 10+ years with Men of Achievement
“My best experience with LA’s BEST was going on a field trip to LA Live and seeing the kids skate on ice for the first time -- priceless!”
– Stephanie Silva, Volunteer at Magnolia Elementary School
LA's BEST volunteer assists with learning an important life skill.
