On May 2 and 3, LA’s BEST proudly hosted its 32nd Annual Dance & Drill Team Showcase, bringing together more than 1,500 students from over 100 school sites for two unforgettable days of performance, pride, and celebration.
With this year’s theme, “The Stage Is Yours,” students stepped into the spotlight after months of dedicated practice, preparation, and teamwork at their school sites. Across multiple sessions and performance categories, families, friends, and community members watched as students showcased their hard work, confidence, and creativity in front of more than 1,500 spectators.
The Dance & Drill Team Showcase is more than a performance event. It is the culmination of months of commitment, discipline, collaboration, and joy. For many students, this is a moment they work toward all year long, building routines together, strengthening their teamwork, and gaining confidence both on and off the stage.
A heartfelt thank you goes to the many staff members who helped bring this event to life, with special recognition to our City Wide team for the immense planning, coordination, and behind-the-scenes organization required to execute an event of this scale.
We also extend our gratitude to the principals, teachers, and school communities who came out to support their students, as well as to our special guests, including Damián Mazzotta, Governing Board Chair, for joining us in celebrating the incredible talent and dedication of our students.
