A nearly $720,000 grant will expand digital literacy, technology access, and family learning opportunities across Los Angeles.
LA’s BEST has been awarded a nearly $720,000 California Advanced Services Fund Broadband Adoption Account grant to launch the Digital Bridges Initiative across 10 Los Angeles school communities.
Through this initiative, approximately 2,000 students and family members will gain access to guided technology training, digital literacy support, hands-on learning, and practical tools that help families thrive in an increasingly digital world.
Students will explore digital citizenship, coding, robotics, media production, and emerging technologies, while parents and caregivers will build skills in online safety, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, and digital tools that support career and family needs.
The grant will also support classroom computing devices, qualifying take-home devices, technical support, curriculum delivery, family engagement, and program implementation.
This milestone reflects LA’s BEST’s ongoing commitment to expanding opportunity, strengthening school communities, and ensuring every child and family has the resources and support needed to succeed.
