Work with kids and plan activities! We offer career development opportunities and a compassionate environment. These positions are afternoons during the academic year and mornings and afternoons during summer. Monday through Friday, part time, across Los Angeles County. Must be vaccinated.

1. New employees hired on or after October 1, 2021 must be fully vaccinated and provide verification of their vaccination status as part of the hiring and onboarding process prior to an official offer of employment to any District site. 2. You must be 18 years of age or older 3. You must present your original HS diploma/GED/Official HS transcripts 4. An adult Tuberculosis (TB) Risk Assessment within 60 days of your processing appointment. 5. Your name on your original Social Security Card must match with your Driver’s License or ID 6. You must have an unexpired Driver’s License or Unexpired CA ID 7. LAUSD will fingerprint and conduct a government background check; which will cost $56 that will be automatically deducted from two of your checks (28×2).

Alumni Fellow
The goal of the Alumni VISTA Fellow is to outreach to LA’s BEST alumni, collect and write stories about alumni and engage alumni in volunteering and the organization’s development activities. Click here to apply.
Community Engagement Fellow
The VISTA Community Engagement Fellow will be part of the Development Team, helping to increase, track, and analyze the engagement of LA’s BEST stakeholders, which may include our students, parents, current and former staff, staff, donors, volunteers, elected officials and community members. The fellow will outreach and engage with these stakeholders to support the organization’s advocacy, communications, and fundraising efforts. In addition, the fellow will find, track and share resources to share with the LA’s BEST community. Social Media Fellow
The Social Media VISTA will be part of the Development team and help to increase our followers and presence on social media outlets (Instagram, Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn), to maximize our outreach, fundraising and engagement with supporters, partners, families, prospects and all of Los Angeles. To be most successful in this role, the candidate will have project management and basic design and video editing skills and must have prior experience and knowledge in professional social media.
