LAUSD Site Positions – Immediately Available
Work with kids and plan activities! We offer career development opportunities and a compassionate environment. These positions are afternoons during the academic year and mornings and afternoons during summer. Monday through Friday, part time, across Los Angeles County. Must be vaccinated.

If offered a position, you must meet the minimum requirements for processing by LA’s BEST and LAUSD which consists of the following: 1. You must be 18 years of age or older 2. You must present your original HS diploma/GED/Official HS transcripts 3. An adult Tuberculosis (TB) Risk Assessment within 60 days of your processing appointment. 4. Your name on your original Social Security Card must match with your Driver’s License or ID 5. You must have an unexpired Driver’s License or Unexpired CA ID 6. An LAUSD government background check is required as part of the hiring process for LAUSD. Please note that there may be an upfront fee of $67 associated with the background check due at the time of processing.

Vice President of Development
Reporting to the President & CEO, the Vice President (VP) of Development is responsible for leading and managing all efforts to raise financial and in-kind support to sustain and expand the work of LA’s BEST. Executive Assistant
Reporting to the President & Chief Executive Officer (CEO), the Executive Assistant will provide administrative support to the President & CEO. Development Operations Assistant

Government Relations Associate
The Government Relations Associate will be a key member of the Public Partnerships & Policy team, working closely with the Vice President of Public Partnerships & Policy to increase the organization’s capacity to strengthen public partnerships and advocate for funding and policies that benefit LA’s BEST communities at the local, state and federal levels. The Associate will support improved internal systems, organization, and processes for the Department, in addition to building external relationships with key stakeholders in government & public institutions. Communications Manager
The Communications Manager helps manage LA’s BEST outreach through social media, e-blasts, solicitations and marketing materials and maintain updates on the website. The Communications Manager will also gather content with a storytelling approach, with and for, LA’s BEST stakeholders including prospective supporters, staff, donors and families. To be successful, the Communications Manager will draw on their design skills and experience in digital communications, social media management and basic website maintenance. Opportunities With Our Operations Team
Director of Evaluation
Reporting to the Chief Operations Officer, the Director of Evaluation is responsible for designing and implementing evaluations examining the impact of distinct recreational, educational and enrichment services provided by LA’s BEST, managing external research studies or evaluations contracted by the organization and managing the department research team. The primary responsibilities are to design and report findings of research and evaluation projects as needed to meet all required conditions for funder requests as well as for reporting essential data to the California Department of Education’s Expanded Learning Division as well as for meeting the requirements of other public and private sector grants.
