STOCK

To make a stock donation, please contact Peter Mockary, Controller, at peter.mockary@lacity.org or (213) 978-0795. Peter will provide the information needed to transfer the stock to LA’s BEST. It’s quick and easy!

Donating stock directly to LA’s BEST is one of the most tax-smart ways to give. By donating stock that has appreciated in value, that you have held for more than a year, you are entitled to an income tax deduction for the full value of the stock (i.e. there is no income tax on the sale of the stock).
